About Kate

I've always love to bake! I can remember being a little girl, and my Mother letting me experiment in our kitchen with different recipes in my cook books.  Or each weekend my Father and I would pick a new recipe to try and recreate.
Opening my own bakery was always something that I wanted to do, and now that seems to be in my reach!
I moved from my hometown of Fredericton, New Brunswick. To Prince Edward Island to attend Pastry Arts at Holland College.  I didn't know it right at the moment, but this program truly changed my life.
I had the opportunity stay after my graduation, and work at the school for the summer.  I created delicious desserts and breads for large functions, weddings, and small intimate dinners. The most amazing experience I had? Being one of the few people to work on The Royal Couple's private lunch on their Royal Tour, I can proudly say that I made Prince William and Kate Middleton's desserts. A very close second, was being able to help prep food for Curtis Stone's demo he did for the shell fish festival while on his visit to the Island.
This is what I love to do, I love how something so simple like food can bring people together.  I love that it creates joy, laughter and memories for everyone around.

I have so many people to thank for showing me that my dream really is possible. They have supported me, and greatly helped me on my journey so far.  I know that they will continue to be there for me as I continue down this road.
